We are seeking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Planner to join our dynamic team in Elefsina.
As a Transportation Planner, you will be responsible for optimizing transportation routes, improving service delivery times, and reducing overall transportation cost. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics, transportation systems, and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of goods according to client’s needs.
• Analyse transportation data, maintain accurate documentation and update all necessary information in the systems to assure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Resolve transportation related issues (disruptions, delivery delays, damaged goods, working with carriers).
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with transportation service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining service quality.
• Coordinate with both clients and drivers to secure smooth transportation operations.
• Manage fleet resources to maximize operational efficiency
Requirements:
• Advanced business writing and oral skills both in Greek and English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with logistics softwares.
• Skill to work under pressure & multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-pace, dynamic environment.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in Freight Forwarding Operations, logistics or similar role.
