Job Description
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media & Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our social media presence, developing engaging content, and ensuring our brand voice is consistently portraited across all platforms. This role requires a blend of creativity, editorial skills, and social media expertise to help us expand our online presence and grow our community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management:
o Develop in collaboration with the Marketing Director and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to
increase engagement, and traffic across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
o Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (copy, images, videos) that aligns with our brand voice and marketing
goals.
o Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activities, and audience feedback.
o Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages promptly, and foster a sense of community.
o Analyze social media metrics and prepare reports to track performance, identify insights, and adjust strategies
accordingly.
2. Content Editing:
o Create content for the JukeBooks platform, ensuring it is appealing and interesting promoting the brand.
o Collaborate with the Content Director, Marketing & our graphic designer to develop and refine content.
o Maintain a content calendar to ensure a steady stream of engaging and relevant content.
o Optimize content and audience engagement.
3. Campaign Development:
o Plan and execute social media campaigns that promote new releases, special features, events, etc
o Coordinate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
4. Community Engagement:
o Build and nurture relationships with influencers, authors, and content creators.
o Organize and manage virtual events, such as live readings, author interviews, Q&A sessions, and interactive
storytelling workshops.
o Pick up user-generated content and leverage it to enhance our brand’s authenticity and reach.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Content Editor, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to produce engaging and original content.
• Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
• Basic knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for storytelling, literature, and digital media.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
• Familiarity with video editing software.
• Previous experience in the publishing or entertainment industry would be a plus.
