The Retail Placement Operations (RPO) Team supports new and existing retail clients who receive custom deliverables in Circana’s Unify platform. The Retail Placement Operations Team serves as the subject matter experts and owners of item placement, which is the client-specific assignment of product characteristics and corresponding values to products sold within the CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry. In addition to being the owners of item placement, the Retail Placement Operations Team serves as internal consultants regarding the design and technical requirements to support the item placement process. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to efficiently execute their work with accuracy. It is important that the individual can quickly assess a scenario, identify a course of action, and implement it with success. The right candidate must have a desire to become an expert within their assigned product categories, the Retail Placement Operations Team, and within Circana as a whole. Job Responsibilities
- As a Placement Analyst within the Retail Placement Operations Team, you will spend the majority of your time analyzing and determining item placement rules based on retailer provided definitions, and Circana’s internal item coding (Circana’s assignment of product characteristics and corresponding values).
- The position requires you to recognize CPG products by their retailer text descriptions, and to identify item placement patterns within the client provided definitions
- You will define, create, and optimize item placement rules based on your analysis and research and based on the direction provided by cross-functional teams.
- As a Placement Analyst within the Retail Placement Operations Team, you can expect that most of your time will be spent on independent work, completed in Excel, across a high-volume of files containing large data sets.
