The Product Business Analyst role will play a crucial part in Product Specification writing by translating business needs into detailed technical requirements. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, Designers and Quality Assurance Engineers, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet user expectations and business objectives.
Your role at HFM:
- Collaborate with Product Managers to gather high-level business requirements and analyse them for further preparation of technical specifications.
- Utilise business analysis techniques for requirements elicitation, including Business Process Modelling (BPM), Brainstorming, MoSCoW, The 5 Whys, and Functional and Non-Functional Requirement Analysis.
- Create comprehensive Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents using Jira Confluence with detailed user stories and data flow diagrams.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineers, Designers, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks and issues proactively, proposing effective solutions and mitigation strategies to minimise negative impacts.
- Actively participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritisation activities, contributing to efficient project management and resource allocation.
- Engage in Scrum events and specification workshops, collaborating with the Scrum Development Team to ensure alignment with product vision and user needs.
- Participate in product design and development discussions, contributing to the creation of user-centered solutions that meet business objectives.
- Create and maintain clear, structured product documentation, including user stories, functional specifications, and system architecture diagrams, to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct thorough user acceptance testing to validate the developed solution against the defined requirements, ensuring adherence to quality standards and user satisfaction.
What You Bring:
- BSc/BA in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Native or near-native proficiency in English - an extra language would be considered an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
