Reservations Agent

What to expect

The successful candidate will support the reservation team in the daily operation, for the continuous reception and registration of hotel reservations in the Property Management System.

Primary responsibilities

• Data entry of reservations in the PMS.
• Answer phone calls regarding new reservations or inquiries.
• Send reservation offers and confirmations to customers and partners.
• Process new reservations and collect payments if necessary.
• Manage reservations through channel managers and the hotel website.
• Handle cancellations and amendments, promptly informing the reception.
• Daily review of bookings, cancellations, and charges.
• Manage daily correspondence and resolve booking issues.
• Check and manage room availability on OTA channels and the hotel website.
• Maximize room sales and revenue through up-selling.
• Coordinate with the front office team on reservation requests and VIP guests.

Necessary qualifications & skills

• Diploma, Advanced Higher/ Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/ Administration/ Commerce/ Marketing or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a reservations department ideally in the Tourism/Hospitality sector.
• Complete knowledge of English (written and oral), another foreign language would be an advantage.
• Proficient system use: OTA Extranet, Channel Manager, PMS system etc.
• Computer literate and familiarity with E-commerce.
• Well-groomed with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Data entry experience.
