Antipollution, member of Vasileiadis Group of Companies (V Group), is seeking for a Naval Architect who will be responsible for existing and new projects in the company’s Marine Department.

V Group is aprivately owned corporation headquartered in Piraeus – Greece, with a significant presence in Eastern Mediterranean, Egypt and the Balkans operating in six main business pillars including Port Reception Facilities, Emergency Response Services, Decontamination Services, Renewable Energy Sources, Alternative Fuel Production from waste and Technology. The role is full-time and permanent, based in Piraeus.

Naval Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ongoing and new projects.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including design approval, construction, and final commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Work closely with shipyards, classification societies, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and take proactive measures to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable maritime standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to shipyards and other facilities to oversee construction and resolve any technical or operational issues.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management, providing updates on milestones, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure that all contractual and technical specifications are adhered to throughout the shipbuilding process.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar position within the maritime industry.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with maritime regulations, classification society standards, and SOLAS/IMO requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of shipbuilding technology, materials, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Completed military service (where applicable).
  • Willingness to travel outside Athens & travel frequently to shipyards and project sites.
