International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a:

Maintenance Director

Role responsibilities:

• Sets up, manages and monitors the Airport Maintenance Services.
• Duties include forming strategies, managing schedules and budgets, recruiting, monitoring and evaluating subcontractors, coordinating with Company departments, liaising with Project stakeholders and proposing innovations for the most efficient maintenance of Airport equipment and systems.
• Defines the requirements of the Airport maintenance services and guides the preparation of related Service Level Agreements and maintenance plans.
• Establishes strategies for the efficient maintenance of Airport equipment and systems (BHS, PBBs, lifts, escalators, travelators, Airport vehicle fleet etc.), to troubleshoot, optimize and ultimately deliver the best possible customer experience.
• Manages budgets, ensuring everything is on track with maintenance plans and in line with legal and safety regulations.
• Follows KPIs established by Operations in order to monitor and manage all maintenance subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and unhindered  24/7 Airport operations.
• Monitors the BHS maintenance package handover from the subcontractor.
• Provides expert assessments, including technical specifications and budgetary estimates for maintenance services, liaises with stakeholders and attends relevant meetings and workshops.
• Performs regular reviews to ensure that all materials used, works performed and tests conducted are in accordance with the Quality Management System and approved designs and specifications, recording and reporting any deviations.
• Proposes innovative technological solutions related to the management of Airport maintenance services.
• Participates in the Project Handover process including Testing and Commissioning.
• Participates in the Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) process.
• Participates in the preparation of all required documentation for Airport Certification.

Requirements:

• University degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related disciplines and relevant training.
• Master’s degree would be beneficial.
• Over 20 years of working experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in maintenance services related to the aviation sector.
• Proven experience in implementing and monitoring related Service Level Agreements.
• Proven experience in dealing with budgets and schedules in terms of maintenance services.
• Proven experience in Airport Commissioning.
• Experience in implementing Airport safety policies and security procedures.
• Organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage/work with contractors to provide high quality services in a high volume, 24/7 operating environment.
• Strong skills in software utilization, including proficiency in MS Office suite.
• A good command of oral and written Greek and English is essential.
• Thorough understanding of SCADA system implementations in Airports.
• Knowledge of Airport Certification process and requirements.
• Knowledge of Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) process and requirements.
• The position of Maintenance Director shall be stationed in Crete.
