The award-winning The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino are seeking for Waiters/Waitresses dedicated in ensuring the perfectness in every detail and customer service, creating memorable experiences, in an excellent working environment. A waiter/waitress will assist in providing excellent customer service, through taking and placing guests’ orders and delivering meals and beverages to guests and achieve the maximum guest satisfaction, on a daily basis in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize mise en place based on daily outlet needs, to ensure smooth operations as per brand standards.
- Excellent knowledge of menu and retail items, demonstrating selling and upselling skills, as per outlet goals.
- Greet and welcome guests in a courteous manner. Take orders using the PDA system and serve with accuracy, following brand standards and H&S protocols. Make recommendations to guests, as per outlet targets.
- Maintain and adhere to billing policies and procedures, ensure client’s personal data protection.
- Communicate special requests from guests to the F&B and culinary team, regarding allergies or specific preferences, to ensure excellent customer service is provided.
- Carry out position allocated tasks during shift and provide a detailed handover at the end of the shift, focusing on continuous improvement on a daily basis.
- Manage guest’s expectations, and attend to their needs, in a proactive and positive manner.
- Assist in all BOH preparations when necessary, ensuring teamwork and effective communication is maintained.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and preserve a clean and tidy work area at all times.
- Follow all H&S rules, hotel policies, SOPs and Brand Standards at all times. Guide and encourage team to do the same.
- Attend all trainings and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news
Requirements
- Two years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry with Service experience in a five-star hotel, is highly desirable.
- High school diploma.
- Fluent in both Greek and English, with proficiency in German and/or Russian considered an advantage.
- Proficient in MICROS and POS systems.
- Basic knowledge of wine.
- Excellent communicator who engages and captivates guests from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating proper communication etiquette with both internal and external clients.
- Composed demeanor and strong professional integrity.
- Ability to train and lead others, serving as an inspiring team player.
