W Costa Navarino is looking for a Beverage Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the beverage program, including menu development, inventory management, vendor relations, and team training. The role ensures that the beverage offerings align with the establishment's overall brand, mission, and guest experience goals. The Beverage Manager will play a key role in driving revenue, maintaining cost controls, and creating a high-quality, memorable beverage experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and curate beverage menus, including cocktails, wine lists, beer selections, and non-alcoholic options, in alignment with guest preferences and brand identity.
- Monitor beverage trends to innovate and enhance offerings.
- Ensure compliance with local service regulations & HACCP principles.
- Oversee daily beverage operations, including ordering, stocking, and quality control.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and implement cost-effective strategies to reduce waste and manage beverage costs.
- Ensure that all beverages are prepared and served according to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other partners to negotiate pricing and secure premium product offerings.
- Monitor deliveries to ensure quality and resolve any discrepancies.
- Hire, train, and mentor bar staff, ensuring they have deep product knowledge and exceptional service skills.
- Conduct regular training sessions on beverage preparation, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
- Schedule and oversee bar team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment.
- Interact with guests to gather feedback on beverage offerings and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Develop and manage the beverage program budget, including labor and beverage costs.
- Prepare regular reports on beverage sales performance and profitability.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume or upscale dining establishment.
- Proven track record of successful beverage program management and team leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in wine, spirits, or mixology (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, Bar Academy) is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Familiarity with beverage menu development and pairing strategies.
- Strong understanding of cost control, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Familiarity with beverage menu development and pairing strategies.
- Strong understanding of cost control, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
