The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Mine Engineering & Planning Superintendent”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will report to the Technical Services Manager of the Technical Services – Engineering department, based in Olympias.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design mid- to long-term plans for the economic extraction of ore, based on geological block models and MSO.
- Develop 3- to LoM mine plans, communicating them to all stakeholders.
- Complete quarterly forecasts, providing estimates for physical outputs and compiling capital budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with the development of MRMR state reports and ensure the integration of updated geological data into LoM models.
- Review and approve new mine designs before production begins, ensuring compliance with mine standards.
- Oversee reconciliation of plan compliance and stope performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Provide operational and technical support through mine planning, schedule implementation, and design execution.
- Identify new ideas and innovations to improve business processes and ensure the achievement of long-term goals.
- Coordinate dewatering activities and ventilation planning to ensure smooth mine development and operational success.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mining engineers and technical staff, identifying training needs and managing resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering. (a post-graduate degree would be considered an asset).
- At least 8 years of experience in mine planning, design &/or mining for an underground mine operation, or tunneling operations.
- Professional Engineer registration.
- High level of proficiency in Deswik planning software and ability to create schedules (3 months to 12 months).
- Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft, Deswik, and Autodesk Packages.
- General knowledge of Mine Planning packages.
- A high regard for safe practices.
- Good ability for both teamwork and individual performance of tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to take responsibility and ensure clear communication within teams.
