The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Metallurgy, Planning and Reporting Engineer (Μηχανικός Μεταλλουργίας, Σχεδιασμού & Αναφορών)”, for its premises in Halkidiki. The position will report to the Head of Processing of the Process Plant Department, based in Olympias.
Main Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the metallurgical plant, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Promote Health and Safety in the workplace; and be in compliance with required LDI front line supervisors safety roles and responsibilities, policies and regulations.
- Identify and promote continuous plant improvement in order to achieve and surpass metallurgical KPIs.
- Provide day-to-day technical metallurgical support and coaching to mill operations.
- Monitor and evaluate metallurgical performance; and when required, conduct test/survey programs to improve mill throughput, recovery and costs.
- Prepare daily shift metallurgical balances, required operational reports and guidelines for operators.
- Assign work to mill metallurgical lab and site assay lab.
- Mentor assay lab crew and plant technicians assigned to the position.
- Develop, review and implement lab and mill operating procedures.
- Collaborate effectively to ensure smooth transition between rotations in order to provide continuous operational support.
- Prepare and report production departmental files: daily production report, Mill Production, Daily Summary & Concentrates Inventory, weekly conference sheet, monthly report.
- Production Planning Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, 3 months rolling planning.
- Daily, weekly, monthly reporting for local operations and corporate presentations.
- Contribute to plant revamps and provide expertise in surveys, mass balances, tools and instrumentation.
- Involvement in training as trainer, as trainee and make proposals for the department needs.
- Prepare and send for approval the AFE capital expenditure related to the processing.
Requirements:
- University degree in Mining & Metallurgy, Mineral Resources or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
- At least 2 years in similar position.
- Technical skills in process optimization, project engineering, equipment sizing, process engineering and design.
- Experience in preparing techno-economical studies and applying process control methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Familiarity with process simulation software.
- Strong communication and public relations skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Competence in action planning and crisis management.
- Good command of the English language.
- Experience with ERP systems.
