We are actively seeking an Imports Operator to join our Sea Freight Forwarding team at our offices in Piraeus.

The Imports Operator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of import shipments for clients and liaise with customers to coordinate, organize and oversee the logistics of import shipments, and manage the documentation process.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer readiness for import loading orders by verifying documentation and shipment details.
• Arrange bookings with shipping agents and correspondents, issuing accurate loading instructions to carriers, and preparing/loading notes as required.
• Perform data entry and ensure accuracy within the company’s ERP system (Orian).
• Generate and distribute necessary loading documents, such as delivery orders.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers regarding shipment schedules and follow-up on arrivals.
• Oversee the issuance and management of invoices related to shipments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team spirit and collaboration mindset.
• Advanced business writing and oral skills both in Greek and English.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business administration or other related fields.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Operations or relevant position.
• Previous experience in the shipping freight forwarding industry is desirable.
• Proficiency in Orian ERP will be considered a plus.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
