Procurement Manager
Position overview:
The job holder will be based in Ioannina.
The role oversees the procurement process and ensures that the organization acquires the necessary goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. It requires excellent negotiation skills, a deep understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. The Procurement Manager will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities align with the organization's goals and objectives. The role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs.
- Monitor market trends and identify potential suppliers.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
- Provide training and support to procurement staff.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
- Ensure the organization meets its sustainability and ethical sourcing goals.
- Manage risk and ensure business continuity in the supply chain.
- Lead and motivate the procurement team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
