Scope:
The Purchasing Specialist - Buyer is responsible for ensuring all procurement activities of raw materials, goods and services are carried out compliantly, from specified local and international suppliers and are delivered upon agreed terms and company’s needs. Makes sure company has the right amount of supplies at the right times by developing strategies and plans to meet this goal. Works closely with the sales and production team to verify sales forecasts and production schedules as to ensure shipments from suppliers are on time and for the correct amount.
Main duties include:
- Locating local and international key suppliers, negotiating the company's purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and products meet company's specifications.
- Develops forecasting plans and monitors inventory and stock level of raw materials as to maintain adequate inventory
- Generates, coordinates and records purchase orders
- Oversees delivery timetables of purchase orders and monitors progress of receiving
- Establishes priorities, tracks assignments, and ensures availability of resources
- Ensures proper handling of inbound logistics operations, complies with standards and import - export regulations as well as with company’s procedures and terms and conditions
- Works with production team to verify materials needed to match production schedule
Candidate Porfile:
University Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management
Proven 3-5 years of experience in relevant role in the industrial sector
Master’s degree or certifications are welcome
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail
