The Role
As a Supply Chain Customer Care Representative at ALUMIL, you will be the primary point of contact for customers throughout the supply chain process. Your responsibility will be to ensure that our customers receive top-notch service by managing their inquiries, order processing, and providing updates on delivery schedules. You will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty while collaborating with various departments, including Sales, Logistics, and Warehousing.
Your ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues promptly will be key to ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.
Your Impact
In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating orders and enhancing customer relationships. Your proactive approach to solving potential problems will help maintain the efficiency of our supply chain operations and ensure that we meet the expectations of our valued customers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and support related to orders and deliveries.
- Process customer orders in the ERP system and maintain accurate records.
- Provide timely updates to customers about their orders and address any issues that arise during the supply chain process.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage backorders and inventory issues, providing solutions to meet customer needs.
- Provide training and support to customers in all logistics processes, including the utilization of the Myalumil online ordering system, adherence to ordering policies, management of credit, coordination of shipments, and handling of complaints.
- Engage with the sales and credit control departments to provide guidance on the required actions for the prompt loading of orders. Ensure the enhancement of customer service and the minimization of overdue shipments, thereby contributing to an increase in the company’s overall shipment volume.
- Prepare customer order preferences and dispatch them in accordance with the company’s credit control policies. Concurrently, monitor customer payments to facilitate the scheduling of the corresponding shipments.
- Coordinate customer shipments by soliciting carrier options, having first compiled the requisite information in accordance with established procedures and adhering to the requests of the service departments.
- Facilitate collaboration with production and warehouse teams to oversee the production and loading processes of large-scale projects by systematically capturing customer data related to project phases and entering the corresponding order group into the system.
- Collaborate with the customer to determine, based on the sales of materials, which orders are eligible for loading onto fully loaded trucks and which are not.
- Evaluate each specific customer requirement related to packaging, pricing, loading, order modifications, and new items, and in partnership with the relevant department, recommend the most suitable solution for the customer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field in Logistics.
- Having prior experience in customer service or supply chain in the logistics sector will be highly considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a particular focus on Excel.
- Having experience with ERP systems, particularly in CRM, is essential.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-centric attitude.
- Proactively identifying issues and actively participating in their resolution, along with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
