Fashion Accessories Buyer

 

The Fashion Accessories Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of fashion accessories for B&F(Lynne ) various  product range. This role focuses on selecting trendy, high-quality accessories that align with the brand's vision, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to meet sales demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Sourcing & Procurement:
    • Identify and source new fashion accessories, including jewelry, handbags, belts, scarves, hats, and footwear.
    • Evaluate supplier offerings, conduct market research, and assess product trends to ensure competitive and on-trend selections.
    • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, delivery terms, and minimum order quantities.
  • Inventory & Order Management:
    • Manage inventory of accessories, ensuring optimal stock levels for sales and seasonal demands.
    • Place orders in alignment with product demand forecasts, sales performance, and seasonal collections.
    • Oversee timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues to prevent stockouts or delays.
  • Trend Analysis & Market Research:
    • Stay updated on fashion trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences in accessories.
    • Use trend forecasting tools, trade shows, and customer feedback to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Supplier Relations & Quality Control:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers.
    • Ensure all accessories meet company quality standards and align with brand image.
    • Conduct product quality checks and approve samples before bulk orders.
      • Pricing & Margin Management:
        • Negotiate competitive pricing and ensure accessories are purchased within budget.
        • Analyze market trends and sales data to set pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
      • Reporting & Documentation:
        • Track purchase orders, deliveries, and stock levels.
        • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory turnover, and supplier performance for management.
      • Collaboration with Design & Merchandising Teams:
        • Work closely with design teams to understand upcoming trends and align product selections with seasonal collections.
        • Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure product assortment aligns with store needs and sales targets.

       

      Skills & Qualifications:

      • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
      • Ability to work effectively and collaborate alongside cross-functional teams.
      • Excellent knowledge of fashion accessories trends and consumer preferences.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems is a plus (e.g., Navision, SAP).
      • Strong organizational and project management skills.
      • Attention to detail and ability to assess product quality.
      • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and product lines simultaneously.
