We are looking for a Category Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team.
As the Category Buyer, you will be responsible for Strategic and Operational Procurement activities by implementing sourcing strategies and initiatives that align with the company's goals, optimizing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services. The goal is the continuous enhancement of organizational value proposition and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end responsibility of Sourcing to Contract and Suppliers Relationship Management, relevant Procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring strategy alignment; tailored to our logistics and transportation needs, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Deliver the targeted year over year productivity targets on designated spend portfolio by identifying, leading and executing in-country and cross-country category procurement projects for fleet maintenance and warehouse & hard facilities management
- Evaluate potential and current suppliers, selecting the best cooperators based on financial and qualitative criteria, aiming to fulfill our operational needs.
- Collaborate closely with all key stakeholders as to ensure alignment and support for overall business and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers developing, negotiating and reviewing contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance and strategy alignment
- Manage Operational Procurement workstream (Procure to Pay) through the implemented procurement system and relevant reporting
- Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs and enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Ensure all the time compliance with business and legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies and mitigate associated risks
- Deliver and report on key procurement performance indicators (KPIs) which are set based on company’s strategy
Requirements
- Results-oriented, metrics-driven Buyer with expertise in Strategic Procurement activities & Suppliers collaboration (SRM)
- Good Knowledge of procurement practices, contracts development, supply chain management, and vendor management, adhering to the highest ethical standards.
- Very good communication, negotiations skills and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Knowledge of procurement software (ERP) and reporting tools.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certification (CIPS) is considered a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, preferably within the logistics and transportation industry and/or multinational companies
