Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the preparation of preliminary studies for Conventional and Alternative Production Projects regarding mechanical equipment and installations
• Contributes to the preparation of technical specifications, studies, design documents, and descriptions of mechanical equipment and installations in Requests for Contractors Selection Procedures for Conventional and Alternative Production Projects and participates in the preparation of the relevant contracts
• Participates in the preparation of bid submissions to Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water and in the process of preparing the licensing application file, for issues of mechanical equipment and installations for Conventional and Alternative Production Projects
• Monitors technological developments in mechanical equipment and installations for Conventional and Alternative Production Projects
• Participates in the budgeting of Conventional and Alternative Production Projects
• Undertakes the control and review of studies, drawings and technical characteristics of mechanical equipment and installations during the implementation of Conventional and Alternative Production Project Contracts
• Participates in the review and approval of procedures and the monitoring of Performance Tests related to mechanical equipment and installations of Conventional and Alternative Production Projects
• Participates in the Acceptance Procedures of Conventional and Alternative Production Projects and in resolving disputes with Contractors regarding study pending issues and clarifications of mechanical equipment and installations
• Supports and assists the Hydraulic Works Studies and Budgeting Department in matters of Mechanical Applications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a University or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering or Production and Management Engineering
• Master’s degree in Energy Applications will be considered an additional qualification
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in A) preparation or review of mechanical equipment studies for Conventional and Alternative Power Generation Stations or large industrial installations and/or B) drafting technical specifications, studies, design documents and descriptions of mechanical equipment and facilities in Requests for Contractors Selection Procedures for Conventional and Alternative Production Projects or large industrial installations
• Work experience in a consulting company will be considered an additional qualification
• License to practice as an Engineer in the relevant specialty of the degree of study
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Internet
• Knowledge of two-dimensional design software (AutoCAD, etc.) will be appreciated as an additional qualification
• Knowledge of stress and displacement calculation software (Caesar, Srart-Prof., etc.) will be appreciated as an additional qualification
• Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
• Availability for urgent geographical relocations
