Your Role:
The Packaging Production Administrator plays a vital role in guaranteeing that the department's production processes are completed on time, working closely with the department manager and shift supervisors. This position is key to maintaining the seamless operation of the Packaging Department by orchestrating daily activities, overseeing production workflows, and upholding quality and safety standards. Additionally, the role includes supporting the production team, optimizing resource management, keeping precise records, and contributing to ongoing improvement efforts aimed at boosting productivity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily packaging operations, ensuring alignment with production schedules and inventory levels.
- Monitor and manage packaging materials inventory, ensuring timely procurement and optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain efficient packaging processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations throughout all packaging activities.
- Maintain accurate records of packaging materials used, production volumes, and inventory levels.
- Generate reports on packaging efficiency and suggest improvements to optimize the process.
- Assist in training staff on packaging procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure that packaging materials meet quality specifications and are delivered on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Any additional training or certifications related to production management, quality control, or logistics will be regarded as a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of packaging materials and production processes is an asset.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP will be regarded as a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with production processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
