Solutions Sales Representative (Customer acquisition /Account management)

Arviem AG, founded in 2008 and based in Baar Switzerland, is pioneer in IoT-based multi-modal cargo monitoring and tracking technologies and supply chain visibility services.  Arviem provides its customers with the services to maintain the security and quality of their cargo in global distribution networks and optimize their global supply chains.  Arviem’s customers include a mix of small, medium and large companies across the consumer goods, commodities, industrial products, electronics, precious metals and automotive industries.  

Arviem is a truly international scale-up company, with 30 employees of 17 nationalities: United States, England, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Turkiye, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Poland, Greece, Ukraine, Belarus, Slovakia. We are planning to expand our business and are seeking a sales manager, experienced at selling services for logistics and supply chain professionals with long sales cycles who will be working at our Greek entity. This candidate should be adept at building strong relationships with global shippers, helping them to derive value and an ROI from their investment in such services. 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow Arviem's customer base and revenues leveraging personal and professional networks and platforms.

  • Focus on account-based sales strategies and activities with expected sales cycle of 3-12 months.

  • Win 5-10 new client engagements annually accounting for a revenue target of 0.5 - 1M.

  • Develop sales proposals and contracts, negotiate pricing, terms and conditions.

  • Demonstrate the value of Arviem's services through business cases and benefits in the clients' P&L.

  • Collaborate with and support sales colleagues on joint sales-initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Operations and Customer Service colleagues for new and ongoing engagements.

  • Share client feedback with operations teams and assists with the development of new products and services.

  • Work with tools like Linkedin Sales Navigator and Hubspot CRM.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of work experience in global logistics or supply chain is mandatory

  • Past work experience with a visibility service is preferred

  • Has a successful track record in solution sales and consultative selling. We would like to highlight that, we are not looking for candidates with product sales experience.

  • Experienced with a balanced sales role: 50% dedicated to hunting for leads, developing proposals and closing deals. The other 50% dedicated to client account management.  

  • Possesses strong communication skills.

  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset, takes initiative and is capable of working in a startup environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word.

  • Comfortable with working from home. Occasional domestic travel to clients is part of the role.

  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking), proficiency in any other language is a plus.

 

Preferences:

  • Have a global/international perspective and collaborative mindset, comfortable working with teammates from different countries.

  • The candidate should be comfortable developing relationships with customers in different countries.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to change course if necessary.
