ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of a leading company in Medical innovation and Regenerative Medicine, is looking for a driven professional for the position of the Head of Sales in Orthobiologics, based in Athens.

Head of Sales - Orthobiologics (5798/ORTH/ESS/GR)

Our client is redefining personalized healthcare by delivering integrated solutions for medical innovation and regenerative medicine that address critical issues such as cell and tissue degeneration.

Their advanced therapies, particularly in the field of Orthopaedics (Orthobiologics) and Sports Medicine, leverage stem cell technologies to enhance recovery and improve health outcomes for civilians and elite athletes.

They are committed to providing healthcare providers in Greece and abroad, with innovative solutions that significantly impact patient care.

Role Profile

Lead the strategic direction, growth, and sales operations of cutting-edge regenerative products for tissue repair and autologous biologics. Collaborating with healthcare professionals, you will expand the company’s footprint in orthopaedics and sports medicine, driving adoption in clinical and surgical settings.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, setting tailored goals for private practice and surgical environments.
  • Assume revenue & P&L oversight, drive revenue growth, manage budgets, and track KPIs.

Market Development

  • Identify and seize new opportunities in orthopaedics and sports medicine.
  • Build relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, and private practices.

Product Promotion

  • Educate healthcare professionals on regenerative therapies.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to showcase clinical applications.

Team & Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure product alignment and compliance.
  • Provide market insights for product improvement and innovation.


Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in senior sales role.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Greek Orthopedics, Sports Medicine healthcare market with strong personal accounts.
  • Experience working with healthcare professionals (HCPs), orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, and private practitioners, particularly in tissue regeneration or biologic therapy applications and hospital procurement teams in a clinical sales environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a sales team, achieving sales targets, and growing market share within the healthcare or medical devices field.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence medical professionals and stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate and understand regulatory environments and compliance requirements for medical devices and biologics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical engineering, healthcare management, or a related field. Preferred MBA or MSc in healthcare or business.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and other sales management software.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
