About The Role

We are looking for a highly qualified Business Development manager to enhance our position in the global market.

 

The ideal candidate should have a strong mix of commercial and technical background, preferably in the Food, or Food Packaging, sector.

 

Previous experience should include developing leads and pitching products and/or services, account & external stakeholder management along with product & internal stakeholder management.


The candidate will preferably be based in Greater Chicago area, with the ability to work either on-site, remotely, or both.

 

Objectives of this role

  • Review current market trends, propose, strategize, and implement new business opportunities.
  • Identify new sales leads and cultivate strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Prepare sales action plans in line with the overall sales strategy to ensure a targeted and focused approach that consistently contributes to the overall growth aims of the business and maximise value to all stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with the Product Development, R&D and Production

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Researching organizations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services, in order to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare quotations, service agreements and tenders within set deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports of sales activities including annual revenue results and client visits/calls.
  • Liaise with technical/operations teams to ensure excellent communication channels exist to facilitate the successful handover and execution of the new and current business.

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience as Business Development Manager
  • Experience in working in/with global organizations.
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategies.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are required. Your ability to aim for results and meet targets complements your initiative and ability to work autonomously to prioritize, handle and respond to management’s concerns, and complete the assigned task. Additionally, you handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner.
