                                                          Application Support Engineer

                                                       Reporting to: Head of Technology

                                                        Location: Metamorfosis, Athens

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting internal and client-facing software applications, ensuring the design, quality and reliability of our solutions through rigorous QA, testing, and assessment procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Handle second-level support for software service requests and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues efficiently.

  • Establish the root causes of application errors, and escalate serious concerns to the Senior Engineer.

  • Participate in projects, contribute to proposals for potential clients, and develop new solutions using emerging platforms.

  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) activities for Hardware and Software solutions.

  • Organize User Operational Testing (UOT) sessions with relevant stakeholders, ensuring thorough documentation.

  • Document processes for newly developed solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients as needed.

 

Main Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide top-notch customer support

  • Enthusiasm for staying updated with the latest industry developments and eagerness to bring innovative solutions to the organization

  • Proficiency in English

  • Understanding of code, preferably .NET, would be an advantage
