Housekeeping Manager

Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Manager shall oversee all duties performed by our housekeeping staff; he/she should be able to develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the housekeeping department, and has excellent management, leadership, and communication skills.

Scope:

  • Reports to HM
  • Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Schedule staff and organize replacements as needed.
  • Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily.
  • Inspecting rooms to ensure that company and Covid-19 standards of cleanliness are met.
  •  Take inventory, write orders and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies.
  •  Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests.
  • Perform daily housekeeping cleaning duties as part of the housekeeping team.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by Hotels Manager

Prerequisites:

  • Three or more years working experience in a similar role
  • Degree / Diploma on Tourism Management, or equivalent in Human Resources field
  • Computer Literacy
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
