Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.
The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.
Scope of Position:
The In Room Dining Supervisor assists in providing an efficient and friendly food and beverage service, ensuring guests and residents satisfaction is achieved throughout their In Room Dining experience whilst also providing the team with support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures the mise en place are completed for day / pm shift and during service, in order to provide an efficient service.
- Ensures full knowledge of the In Room Dining menu and wine list, in order to respond or amend guests requests to their full satisfaction.
- Ensures that the In Room Dining department is kept clean, in appropriate order at all times and in compliance with our Safe and Sound standards.
- Assists and prepares all VIP amenities, so as to deliver them in compliance with our Legendary Quality Standards.
- Ensures that all service steps are performed in order to reach guest satisfaction and to comply with our Legendary Quality Standards.
- Prepares all orders in compliance with hotel standards and food & beverage specifications.
- Delivers service in the guest room and in residences according to hotel standards and guest requirements in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner.
- Up-sells services and products to our guests at all times enhancing service and generating increased revenue.
- Performs any tasks relating to billing in accordance with hotel service standards and cashiering policies.
- Performs the clearing of all trolleys and trays in wash service areas ensuring efficient rotation of silver, china and glassware and keeping breakage to a minimum.
- Performs duties relating to counting linen, beverage stock monitoring, stationary orders, cost control, among others (Using Material Control System).
- Performs on the job training in compliance with guest satisfaction surveys and hotel training plans, liaising with the head of department.
- Cooperates with colleagues and provides practical support.
- Builds a strong relationship with Butler department and supports them in efficient F&B deliveries.
- Efficiently records in HotSOS all guest requests and follows up on their execution.
- Ensures that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
- Carries out any other reasonable requests as directed by your Manager.
- Assists In Room Dining management in serving private parties when applicable.
- Assists in setting up and organising private parties and liaises with Butlers.
Qualifications / Experience:
- EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant guest services experience in luxury hotels.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English and Greek.
