As a Bartender at Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort you play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for guests. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, while providing exceptional guest service and ensuring responsible alcohol service in accordance with hotel procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation: Skillfully mix, garnish, and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Guest Service: Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, engaging in conversations, making recommendations, and ensuring an enjoyable experience at the hotel bar.
- Menu Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of the beverage menu, including wine selections, signature cocktails and be able to describe and recommend them to guests.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the bar top, glassware, utensils, and equipment. Ensure proper hygiene and sanitation standards are met.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage beverage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed and minimizing waste. Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Cash Handling: Process guest payments accurately, handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Safety and Security: Uphold the hotel's safety and security protocols, including following emergency procedures and preventing overconsumption of alcohol.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as the kitchen, service staff, and management, to ensure a seamless dining and beverage service.
- Training: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new drink recipes. Train and mentor junior staff members when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in bartending or hospitality is a plus.
- 1 year minimum experience on similar position , leadership in hospitality strongly required
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages. Third language will be considered accordingly.
- Exceptional communication
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Responsible beverage service training or certification is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure with provided resources, manage workload using own initiative and sufficiently cover a multitask position.
- Availability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
