Elix is on the Ionian coast of mainland Greece and lays in a stunning location above Karavostasi beach between Parga and Syvota.
Mar-Bella Collection is looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join the Avali hotel team for 2025 in Corfu
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and supervising all aspects of food preparation and production in a high-end hotel kitchen.
- Collaborate in creating innovative menus, focusing on quality, seasonal ingredients, and current culinary trends.
- Ensure that all dishes meet the hotel’s high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
- Manage inventory, control waste, and monitor food costs, aiming for optimal budget management.
- Enforce all health and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment and ensuring kitchen equipment is well-maintained.
- Engage with guests when needed, handle special requests, and ensure a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine-dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of international cuisines and trends is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
