Have previous experience in a similar purchasing (manager level) role – 10 years minimum
Be ambitious, detail and goal-oriented, self-driven & self-motivated
Follow up on all outstanding issues, maintain poise under pressure, be accurate & punctual
Liaise/communicate effectively with peers in/out & out of the organization, in a structured manner, to provide info & to receive feedback, guidelines
Be able to adjust quickly, take the initiative when & where necessary
Be focused on extensive, documented suppliers’ research (reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency)
Be able to handle quotes, negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms, delivery at a senior level
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting insights and recommendations based on data analysis
Maintain detailed and analytical records of transactions, purchase orders, payment terms, etc.
Demonstrate strong analytical & technical skills, work in cross-functional teams & set tangible goals for him/her & the team
Embrace a problem-solving approach
Analyze risks associated with the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
