The Director of Operations significantly impacts several critical operations and team members at Daios Cove. He/She should have a leader’s point of view, form long-term plans and provide practical solutions to day-to-day challenges. The Director of Operations leads all operations and delivers excellent guest experience. He/She can forecast, plan, and manage all Departments, including front and back-of-house Operations, namely F&B, Rooms, Maintenance, Wellness and IT. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Job Purpose:
Under the general guidance of the GM, to manage and develop the standards and to ensure maximization of departmental profits. To optimize guest satisfaction through consistently high operating standards, carry out Management shifts and take responsibility for the entire operation. Duties & Functions:
- Responsible for the overall effective day-to-day operations of Daios Cove
- Management of F&Β operations in conjunction with F&B Manager, overseeing and coordinating departmental teams alongside the planning of the F&B events programming
- Overseeing Rooms Division operations
- Overseeing Housekeeping operations
- Induction and weekly meetings with the Maintenance department to understand procedures, targets, budgets, priorities and execution of works
- Manage all day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Design exceptional menus, purchase goods, and continuously make necessary improvements
- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all their concerns
- Lead teams by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies and procedures
- Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with an emphasis on motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Budget expenditures, plan employee roasters, plan and deliver employee development paths
- Participate in product and concept development meetings and be involved in the execution and delivery of concepts and construction works
- Report on management regarding results and productivity

- Interviewing and onboard potential or new hires following People & Culture department guideline
- Lead, coach and manage Front Office, Guest Relations and Housekeeping teams to ensure all standards and operating procedures are adhered to
- Solicits team member feedback and utilizes an “open door policy” to identify and address team member problems or concerns.
- Experience working with diverse backgrounds and respecting cultural differences, beliefs, and practices.
- Facilitates the development of creative solutions to overcome obstacles and continually ensures implementation to improve guest satisfaction results.
Skills and Qualifications to help you succeed:
- This role generally requires a bachelor’s degree in business and/or Hotel/Tourism
- Equivalent experience within luxury hospitality environment in Europe and/or M. East – in a similar capacity and /or at least 4 years as Food & Beverage Director or Director of Rooms.
- Proficiency in English and knowledge of other languages will be considered a plus.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team to perform well.
- Excellent problem-resolution skills and the ability to quickly work around different solutions are critical success factors for this role.
- Requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to change
