The Bartender provides hotel guests and colleagues with quick and efficient beverage service with a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar. Prepares coffees, drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes. Moreover, he / she, has a thorough knowledge of all f&b offerings in the hotel, willing to inform and advise guests when needed
Job Purpose:
- Welcome guests instantly in warm and friendly manner
- Has full knowledge of the restaurant- bar menu and advises guests if requested
- Serves drinks to guests
- Communicates with additional meal requirements, allergies, nutritional needs and special requests in the kitchen.
- Check with guests to ensure their satisfaction
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bar set up according to meal plan hours / mis en place
- Immaculate bar counter presentation
- Thorough knowledge on all alcoholic / coffee beverages and their current trends
- FIFO, HACCP practices understanding
- Beverage costing and recipes
- Inventory / consumables / equipment
Operating Environment:
- Thorough knowledge of POS systems
- HACCP & ISO working knowledge and understanding
Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Training / Knowledge
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years minimum experience in an upscale environment (either stand-alone restaurant or and 5 * hotel)
Education:
- Secondary diploma preferably from a hospitality school
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language
- Knowledge of a third language (i.e., German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, etc.) will be valued accordingly
Experience:
Stand-alone / or and 5* star hotel bar environment
Training:
Training sessions acquired will be highly appreciated
