Airotel Group aims to provide excellent accommodation, dining, and professional event services to individuals, businesses, associations, clubs, and leisure and business groups. The group offers a range of recently renovated or refurbished rooms and fine Greek and International cuisine in their main restaurants. Each hotel is conveniently located with direct access to transportation and major sights.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Groups & Events Coordinator at Airotel Group of Hotels located in the Athens Metropolitan Area. The Groups & Events Coordinator will be responsible for event planning, communication, customer service, event management, and sales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responding to all groups & banquet sales requests in a timely and professional manner, offering available dates and tailor-made options for venues, food and beverage, rooms, equipment and facilities
  • Performing all groups & banquet sales administrative tasks including but not limited to filing, data entry and preparation of relevant reports
  • Managing all billing procedures according to existed contracts and relevant booking confirmations and regulations
  • Preparing groups & banquet quotations and contracts in a timely and professional manner, making sure hotel’s business mix and sales strategy is applied in all cases
  • Liaising with all relevant hotel departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping) in order to make sure that all group’s and banquet requirement have taken care of and arranged as requested by the client
  • Participating in FAM trips, site inspections and client visits, relevant to banqueting and conference options in our Hotels in Athens

Qualifications

  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant position within the Hospitality Industry
  • Fluency in both Greek and English language (written and spoken)
  • Excellent use of MS Office Suite (especially: Word, Excel & Powerpoint) and relevant hotel PMS (preferably Protel)
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
