Job description:
To cook dishes according to menu that will delight our guests with their timely delivery, presentation, and taste. To be able to use various cooking techniques and ingredients. To keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Applicant's main accountabilities:
- Prepare all types of sushi (maki, nigiri, uramaki, temaki and sashimi).
- Prepare soups salads and appetizers that are close to the Asian cuisine.
- Ensure excellent food plating and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients to be used in cooking (peeling and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
- Use of industrial woks and other cooking implements (steamers, fryers, grillers, utensils)
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Maintain hygiene principles and safety conditions in all cooking areas.
Applicant’s main qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a 5-star property or at an Asian restaurant
- Good knowledge of various sushi-rolling techniques and sushi types
- Experience in cooking methods (boiling, baking, grilling, stir fry, roasting, steaming, etc.) and in using cutting tools and cookware
- Good command of English or Greek language
- A certification from a culinary school will be an advantage.
