About the role

As a Restaurant Captain, you are entrusted with overseeing the service staff to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your role encompasses managing the service team, training new staff, maintaining service standards, and collaborating with various departments to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Supervise and manage restaurant staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations, maintain high service and sanitation standards, and adjust staffing levels in alignment with guest service needs and financial objectives.
  • Lead the Food and Beverage team with strong interpersonal skills, foster a culture of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation, serve as a role model, and focus on the professional development of team members by setting clear goals and providing necessary training.
  • Provide personalized guest services, manage daily operations to meet quality standards and customer expectations, exemplify guest hospitality, and effectively handle guest issues for continuous service improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, assist in serving and hosting during peak periods, and ensure smooth information flow within the department.
  • Oversee financial aspects including compliance with ordering schedules, maintain restaurant logs for food safety program compliance, and lead sustainable operations with a focus on environmental stewardship.

Skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Experience in managing financial aspects, including cash handling and end-of-day reports.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Computer Skills
  • Certification in food safety or related areas.
  • Training or coursework in wine/olive expertise.
  • Experience in sustainable practices in the food and beverage industry.
