The role of a Bar Manager involves overseeing all aspects of the bar's operation, including staffing, customer service, inventory management, and financial performance.
As a Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and exceptional guest experience within our bar facilities.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the bar, managing a team of bartenders and bar staff, and ensuring that the highest standards of service are maintained.
Job Criteria & Responsibilities
- Ensures that all Bar employees are fully trained in all aspects of their job descriptions.
- Guarantees a high level of customer service.
- Responsible for the effective operation of the Bar in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Performs all tasks assigned during training.
- Ensures the achievement of Bar targets regarding customer satisfaction, cost reduction and sales growth.
- Takes a proactive approach to achieving excellent guest feedback and implements corrective staff training where appropriate.
- Quickly identifies and resolves any customer problems or issues and propose solutions to the Hospitality Manager when necessary.
- Handles all guest complaints promptly and in a timely manner and takes any necessary corrective action to help prevent any re-occurrence in the future.
- Ensures compliance with all legal requirements regarding Bar safety & hygiene in accordance with the HACCP standards.
- Ensures that the Bar and all equipment are clean and that the Bar staff's daily checklists are maintained.
- Responsible for the sales and the collection of all accounts when the Bar closes.
- Ensures the proper functioning of the cash registers and is responsible for the correct balancing of all funds at the end of the day.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Fluency in both Greek and English is required.
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong background in bar operations, including inventory management and staff supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of beverage trends, mixology, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills and excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities and experience with organizing and managing events and promotions.
