Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and storage spaces.
- Wash, sanitize, and store all kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes efficiently.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials in accordance with resort policies.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, countertops, and kitchen equipment regularly.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen or management team.
Qualifications / Experience
- Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
