Sandblu Resort, Santorini, is currently in search of Commis de Cuisine.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to the resort’s recipes and standards.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for daily service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure availability of ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events and banquets.
- Maintain accurate records of food production and wastage.
Qualifications / Experience
- Previous experience as a Commis de Cuisine or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (preferred but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with ease.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
