Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Development

  • Oversee and maintain the highest standards of treatments, services, and guest experiences.
  • Work closely with spa therapists to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality treatments.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to update spa therapists on new treatments, techniques, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with the Wellness Director to create and enhance wellness programs that align with market demands.

Operations

  • Manage day-to-day spa operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to established standards.
  • Implement operational improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and staff productivity.
  • Supervise and lead a team of spa therapists, receptionists, and spa attendants.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain spa equipment and facilities for safety and functionality.
  • Provide ongoing training for spa colleagues to enhance their skills and maintain high-quality services.
  • Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Take overall responsibility for the management and performance of the Spa, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service, and optimum financial performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs for spa team to ensure the proper and efficient use of products.
  • Motivate, encourage, and drive the team, maintaining the correct level of professional and qualified personnel while overseeing all facilities and activities within the Spa.
  • Manage weekly schedules, attendance sheets, sick leave, and holiday arrangements.
  • Conduct a daily Spa briefing and a weekly Spa department/section meeting.
  • Work closely with the Wellness Director to align spa offerings with overall wellness objectives.
  • Take responsibility for Opening/Closing Procedures during assigned duty shifts.
  • Exemplify high standards of professionalism, attitude, and appearance, serving as a role model for the spa team.
  • Supervise weekly colleague schedules for therapists, receptionists, and attendants, maintaining accurate attendance records and time sheets.
  • Oversee monthly inventories of products, stock, and linen.
  • Perform daily inspections of the Spa, assessing ambience, maintenance, cleanliness, health and safety measures, colleague performance, and security.
  • Assist with any additional duties as required by the Resort Manager or Wellness Director.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a spa or related field, preferably in a 5-star Resort for at least 2 years.
  • Demonstrated track record with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a 5-star luxury hospitality or spa environment (in a similar role or in different spa departments).
  • Possession of in-depth knowledge of spa operations, industry trends, and a keen understanding of the unique requirements of a 5-star luxury spa.
  • Diploma in Spa Management, Esthetician or Therapist degree, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spa management software.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage according to Standard Operating Procedures in areas such as service, training and inventory.
  • In-depth knowledge of spa products, skincare, and wellness trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

This position is for the summer season of 2025.
