Room Service Order Taker

Sandblu Resort, Santorini, is currently in search of a Room Service Order Taker.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming room service calls promptly and professionally, providing a warm and welcoming experience for guests.
- Accurately take and record food and beverage orders, ensuring attention to detail and guest preferences.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and promotions to guests.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and room service team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Process guest orders using the hotel’s point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure accurate billing.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the kitchen, waitstaff, and other departments to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor and manage room service inventory, ensuring availability of items and supplies.
- Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with their orders and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the order-taking station and related equipment.
Qualifications / Experience
- Previous experience as an Order Taker, in Room Service, or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and other relevant software.
- Fluency in English.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
