Job Description

 

As the Housekeeping Supervisor at Scorpios, you will play a crucial role in creating a harmonious and transformative environment for our guests. You will lead the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal throughout our hospitality establishment, assign tasks, and ensure the proper execution of cleaning duties. Manage schedules, training new hires, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies. Handle administrative tasks like communicating with other departments to coordinate cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities:

 

• Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping employees, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper coverage in all areas.
• Train new and existing housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Develop and manage work schedules, considering staffing levels and cleaning requirements.
• Inspect and evaluate the cleanliness and maintenance of the restrooms and public areas to ensure they meet Scorpios standards.
• Maintain and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring and adequate stock levels.
• Develop and implement cleaning procedures.
• Promote an excellent guest experience by maintaining a clean and well-presented environment.
• Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
• Inspire and motivate the housekeeping employees, fostering a culture of empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative practices that enhance the guest experience, aligning with Scorpios' transformative ethos.

 

Qualifications:

 

• A high school diploma or equivalent education is typically preferred.
• Several years of experience in housekeeping or a related field, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, other departments, management, and guests.
• Familiarity with various cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Adaptability to handle changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications for tasks such as scheduling and reporting (Microsoft Office).

 

Mandatory Requirements:

 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping department of a luxury hospitality establishment.
• In-depth understanding of housekeeping practices, sanitation standards, and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, holidays and evenings as required.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

• Familiarity with sustainable practices in housekeeping operations, aligning with Scorpios' commitment to environmental stewardship.
• Proficiency in English language.
