WHO WE ARE?

The Poseidon of Paros Hotel & Spa is a 5-star luxury boutique hotel at the Golden beach of Paros Island, combining resort-style amenities and comforts with personalised five-star services. Next to the sandy Golden Beach, also known as Chrissi Akti, Poseidon Hotel & Spa offers a unique natural location with magnificent views of the Aegean Sea, luxurious & spacious accommodation, and exquisite gastronomy for over 20 years.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a professional, high-energy barman-barista with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails,, coffee and exciting new beverages to our customers. The barman-barista will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcoming guests, reading, and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions & balancing the cash register.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Developing new recipes

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• At least 1 year experience in a similar position within the hospitality sector.
• Additional education, training, certificates, or experience will be considered an asset.
• Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
• Must have a strong knowledge of drink preparation, as well as health standards,
• Must have knowledge of and be able to operate all equipment related to the outlet.
• Knowledge of English & Greek language is mandatory.
• Knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus.
