THE ROLE

We are looking for a skilled Waiter or Waitress to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our guests. The right Waiter/Waitress uplifts the dining experience for guests. We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role. Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. 

A LA CARTE WAITER / WAITRESS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides a high standard of restaurant services.
• Greet and escort customers to their table.
• Presents & guide guests through menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages, and ingredients.
• Τake accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software.
• Contributes to restaurant guest satisfaction through the quality of his/her work and exemplary behavior.
• Helps increase the restaurant's revenue through his/her sales effort.
• Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return.
• Handles guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
• Fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
• Ensures that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and always organized.
• Monitors operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Follow all relevant health department regulations

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Minimum 1 year experience as a waiter / waitress in a 4*or 5* star hotel or an a la carte restaurant.
• Degree in Hospitality / Tourism will be considered an asset
• Excellent command of both Greek and English language (oral and written)
• Attentiveness and patience for customers.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Team player
• Flexibility to work in shifts
