We are looking for an experienced and talented individual as an Assistant Bar Manager to join the award winning 5* Atlantica Dreams Resort in Rhodes island for the season 2025.
The Bar Manager Assistant supports the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bar, assisting with staff management, inventory control, customer service, and ensuring the bar runs smoothly. The role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of bar operations and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Help in the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring that opening and closing procedures are followed and that the bar is set up for service.
- Provide training and ongoing support to ensure staff is well-prepared for their roles.
- Ensure that drinks are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to alcohol service and safety.
- Oversee the ordering and management of bar supplies, including beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Foster a positive and cohesive team culture.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending or bar management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role of a similar position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on providing an exceptional experience.
- Strong organizational, time-management skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and/or escalated guest issues and find creative solutions
- Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, including customer service and guest experience.
- Fluent in English, additional languages a plus.
