Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to the resort’s recipes and standards.
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
Assist with the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for daily service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure availability of ingredients.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Assist with the planning and execution of special events and banquets.
Maintain accurate records of food production and wastage.
Qualifications / Experience
Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (preferred but not essential).
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation.
A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with ease.
A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
